British Studies Professor to Present at Victorian Studies Association

Dr. Amber Pouliot, a PhD graduate from the University of Leeds, England, and expert on Victorian literature, was recently accepted into the Australian Victorian Studies Association to present a conference paper in Melbourne, Australia this summer. Dr. Pouliot was also recently accepted into the North American Association of Victorian Studies annual conference in Florence, Italy.

Visiting Faculty Gold Room Lecture
Spring 2017 visiting faculty member Dr. Germaine Paulo Walsh, a professor of political science at Texas Lutheran University, recently presented a Gold Room Lecture titled "Truth, Lies, and Poetic Vision: Tolkien's Response to Plato's Charge that Poetry Offers 'Lies' Masquerading as Truth."You can see her presentaiton by clicking here.

British Studies Professor Presents at Canterbury Christ Church University

Current British Studies professor Dr. David Green recently presented a paper at the Canterbury Christ Church University titled 'The Tomb of Edward the Black Prince: Incongruities and Questions."Dr. Green, a PhD graduate from the University of Nottingham, is a member of the Royal Historical Society with an interest in medieval Britain, Ireland and France.
